Hello all! I was wondering if the major we applied for (I applied to Public Health in UC Berkeley's College of Letters and Sciences) had a factor in our admission decision for UC Berkeley? Is the major being competitive going to impede our chances of being admitted (not factoring in UC GPA, test scores, ec's, essay, etc.) Can we change our major when we get accepted? THANK YOU! :)

Within L&S, no. If accepted, you will be in L&S undeclared, and will then have to apply to the major after completing the prerequisites.
In some other divisions, such as Engineering, you are applying to the major, and will enter already declared in the major if accepted.

Thank you! :D
