Im a little confused on how applying to Cornell AEM works, I know that its in the College of Arts and Life Sciences, which is less selective than Dyson AEM, which has an acceptance rate of 8-10%. So do I apply to CALS first, then AEM. Or do I apply to CALS and then automatically get into AEM if I choose that major (which wouldn't make sense considering the different acceptance rates).

So if anyone has further information on AEM, any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Cornell’s AEM major is one of the most competitive programs Cornell offers. Although when you apply, you will apply to CALS, you’re actually applying to the Dyson school which reviews your application. My recommendation is if you’re dead set on Cornell to apply for the backup Economics degree through the College of Arts and Sciences which has the normal around 30% ED acceptance rate, and around 16% RD acceptance rate! Hope this helps!
