Hi.
I went to Cornell U's webpage, and looked up for high school unit requirements.
It required total 16 units, including 4 units of math (2 algebra, 1 geometry, 1 calculus).

The problem is, I screwed my freshman and sophomore math classes, so I am not taking calculus currently (taking trig right now, and I'm a junior), and I highly doubt that even if I can take Calculus next year, although I am the only A student in my current class.

So, is there any way that I can apply to Cornell engineering without taking Calculus?
Also, if by any chance that I take calculus next year, will Cornell allow me to apply even if I do not finish calculus before I apply?

For your 2nd question, as long as you are taking calculus your senior year and finish it by the time you graduate w/o failing or dropping out, it counts.

You parents can overrule any school suggestion, it will not be a problem. I was not recommended to take calculus by my pre-calc teacher because of a very bad grade first semester... I'm in calc right now and am sitting at a high A and one of the brightest in the class (who often corrects the teacher). As long as you try you will be fine.

If the issue is that you don't WANT to take calculus... you probably shouldn't be going into an engineering degree.
