<p>I know its not recommended but ill take my chances. really want to leave home and i will do anything I can to get into a UC since my gpa isnt that high(3.3), but i do have great SAT scores. will applying to an easy major as in less demand help my chances to get in? I mean like if they need more people for a certain major and not a lot of people are majoring in that specific major, will i have a better chance of getting in that with a tough major like engineering (which is what i really want to major in)</p>

<p>If you are applying to Letters & Sciences, intended major does not matter at all. However, iIt does matter within the College of Engineering, or special progams like theater or dance.</p>
<p>i dont think they do require for you to stick with it. i have seen many people change their majors. i heard if you have good grades they will ok it easily.</p>
