If I go to Tokyo University for undergrad, how hard is it to get into US grad schools compared with other US undergrad schools?

I’m editing your thread title because the term transferring refers only to changing schools during UG, what you are asking about is appyling to grad school.

bump .

It depends on what you study, how well you do, etc. Based on your location, I’m guessing that you’re American and want to study in Japan. That might be a plus if you are studying Japanese culture/language, but I have no idea how it will affect your chances in other areas. Generally, students applying to US grad school from Tokyo University are Japanese.
