Hey there,
I'm writing an articled for Harvard Magazine 02138 about the process of getting in Harvard and am looking for people in the NYC area (that's where I'm located) who are applying this year who might be willing to speak with me about it. Participation in the article will unfortunately give you no advantage in the admissions process at the school, but as I'm looking for very accomplished applicants who have a good chance of getting in (as good as anyone can hope for, I suppose), it certainly won't hurt. And as the article won't be published until the spring, it also won't affect your chances at other schools. Any takers? Or anyone even interested in discussing it more?
Thanks!

Are you or were you a Harvard student?

No, I went to Dartmouth, though Harvard was my first choice (I applied early and got waitlisted--blech) and a number of my good friends went to Harvard. I always sort of saw it as my school manquee; it's such a mythic place. All of which sort of explains why I'm writing this article.

You could PM if you want, I'm from that area.
