Applying to Harvard SCEA or UPenn ED?

@fluffybear If your school is sending similar students to these colleges then sure, fire away. It may work out for you as well.

Harvard/Econ and Penn/Wharton tend to attract more “grizzly bears” than “fluffy bears”. Make sure that you consider cultural fit in your decision process- lest you end up as a mid afternoon snack at one of these schools.

So do it. All is not lost if that play doesn’t work out.
Anybody who has a realistic shot at Harvard ED usually has a good shot at RD admission to many other fine schools.

Apply to Harvard. These are different schools but my son applied ED to Dartmouth was rejected and is now going to Colby. You will get into other schools you like if you are rejected at Harvard. Just make sure you have a reasonable list. A friend’s kid is going to Emory after being rejected at Harvard. Just be open to a variety of schools.

But, OP sure needs a better understanding and explanation to present than, “I can really see myself going there” (so can 39k others) or “some specific clubs” (which lots of colleges have versions of) or the dorming system and being in Boston. Especially the latter. Adcoms may think, fine, pick another Boston college.

This is all the lite, Why I Want Them, not why she matches what they want.
