Simple question, but I couldn't find an answer...

I plan on transfering to UT Austin in January for the 2012 Spring semester. I will major in Economics.

I also want to major in Finance, but McCombs only accepts applications in the Fall. I would not qualify for an Internal transfer. So would I be able to apply to McCombs as an External transfer for the 2012 Fall semester, even after taking one semester at UT?

It appears the answer is “no,” but you should call to confirm.

“The McCombs School of Business only admits students for the Fall semester. Students admitted to UT Austin in the Spring must complete three long semesters at the university to transfer to McCombs.”

Ah, I hadn’t seen that. Thanks.
