Hi everyone.

I have a quick question (sort of pressed on time because I have to go out for my eye exam really soon) and I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this!

Is it possible for someone like me (2nd year undergraduate - information systems) to pursue a path in medicine? I've been interested in medicine since I was a child. I was talking to my elderly grandmother (who lives in India) and she told me that her dream when she was younger was to become a doctor. She passed all the exams she needed to enter medical school, but her family could not afford to send her to study.

I am lucky to be studying in America, and I am humble that I have the finances required to attend college. I'm going to ask my counselor this question when I go back to school this Monday, but I'm hoping someone here has had a similar experience and successfully made it to medical school. Please share experiences and thoughts!

Thank you!
