Is it possible to apply to Med School and Pharmacy School at the same time? Of course it is possible, but realistically, and I'm well aware I'd have to take the MCAT and PCAT. Hm maybe dental school too.

My question concerns ECs. I'm not sure how impressed Pharmacy schools would be with physician shadowing, just as I'm not sure how impressed Med schools would be with me working as a pharmacy tech. So I guess maybe I could do chemistry research and general, I don't know, unisex healthcare ECs? Help?

I would pick one career path. Pharmacy and medical school are two very distinct pathways. I could understand more if you were deciding between MD/DO and PA or even DC. I would shadow a physician and a pharmacist (hospital and retail) and see which you enjoy more.

Agreed, pick one. You're pretty accurate in your assessment of worth across professions. If you're a frosh in the fall, there's no harm in spending some time in both shadowing and pharm tech, and I would encourage you to do so. But you need to be thinking about your experiences and determining which one is really for you, don't let a bad day in one determine your course, but make sure you find the one that's right for you.
