<p>i actually emailed professors i know at these schools for advice on which program i should apply to. it’s much classier than saying “do you have spots in your lab” or the usual. i’ve had luck with this, too.</p>
<p>@ec1234: i set up a meeting with a professor at princeton (my mentor’s advisor) using the above approach. apparently qcb is a degree program. </p>
<p>anyway, is this the kind of meeting to which i should bring my cv and sop?</p>
<p>I got an e-mail back stating that someone can’t apply to a joint program and a UCSF-only program–only one program involving UCSF.</p>
