<p>I'm interested in applying to an ED school that I'm confident I'll get into. However, should I apply to multiple other schools as well to increase my chances? If I just apply to the one, I'll save hundreds of dollars but if I on the off-chance get rejected it could hurt me in the long run. Any thoughts?</p>
<p>If you know that the ED school will be affordable, then go ahead and apply there. Just be sure to have your back up applications ready to go if you aren’t accepted.</p>
<p>One option: Have at least 5 other applications completed but don’t submit until you hear from your ED in early to mid-December. Then at that point, most of the other apps are typically due Jan 1 or Jan 15th. So you would have another 2-3 weeks over the Christmas holidays to complete any additional apps. </p>
