Applying to multiple UC's decrease chances of being accepted into #1 choice?

<p>Let's just say you applied to Berkeley and UCLA. Is there a higher chance of you not getting accepted to Berkeley if you do this instead of applying only for Berkeley?</p>

<p>What about UCSD and UCLA/Berkeley? Or The other ones? Maybe not so much because they're sort of a step below?</p>
