Applying to Northeastern

Hey guys this is my first post and I was wondering how you thought I stack up against the schools I'm applying to.

Im a senior right now and my top choice is northeastern university. My next couple are villanova and uconn then backups are umass amherst, bu, and udel. Im thinking of majoring in some sort of engineering

-I have a 3.82 out of 4.0 for a gpa. my weighted gpa is 4.23.
-My combined SAT score is 1900. reading- 570, math- 670, writing- 660 (didnt take act)
-extra curriculars- varsity swim team 4 years and im going to be captain, I was on a club swim team for two years, I did a service trip one summer, I worked with a buddy program and special olympics for two years, and i joined a school club called interact this year, also i worked as a camp counselor this summer and I also worked as a server assistant at a restaurant since last june.

I know thats a lot to read but I was wondering what my chances are looking like for all those schools, specifically northeastern. Also, if anybody knows anything about the northeastern honors program do i stand a chance?
Thanks :)

I would say that Northeastern is a good match school, meaning likely to be admitted. Your SAT score seems low given your hgh GPA though. Their honors program invites the top 20% of applicants to join so that may be a bit of a reach.

Yea I’ve only taken the SATs once so far. I was supposed to take them a second time but I couldn’t so I’ll be taking them in november. I’m hoping to break 2000

I think you have very good chances. Best of luck!

I’m applying to NEU as well, and we have similar stats (my GPA is a bit lower, but my SAT is a bit higher). So hopefully you have good chances  Good luck!

Hey I took the SAT a second time and my new combined score is a 2080! My highest scores in each section are a 660 in writing, a 640 in reading, and a 780 in math! Hope this helps my chances. Does anybody know if that gives me a good chance of getting in?

You’re likely to be admitted. Honors might be a little difficult, but you stand a chance there also.
