Hey guys. I was wondering if I could apply to a public state school – Penn State when I am already applying early decision for UPENN. Is this ok? I couldn’t find out but on Stanford’s application they allow you to apply to a public state school even while applying early. Thanks alot!
<p>Yes, you can. I'm applying ED to Penn and I'm expecting a decision from St. Joe's in the next few days.</p>
<p>BUT.... if Penn accepts you you have to withdrawl all other app's and turn down every other school you've gotten into already.</p>

<p>yes, i'm pretty sure you can apply wherever you want. you definitely can't apply ED anywhere else, and maybe/probably can't apply EA, but regular / rolling apps are allowed.</p>
<p>you can apply EA chalk. You just can only apply to ONE binding program, obviously.</p>

How do you know that you'll be hearing from St. Joe's in the next few days???? My daughter applied there before Nov. 1 and their letter said that she'll hear before January 1. Thanks.</p>
<p>The key is rolling admission...if you are going to hear back from the public school before your ED school, then that is fine. However, like chocoman said, make sure to turn it down if you do get accepted ED.</p>
