I have no clue about that; for anyone else, I need to garner some ideas about what I need to ask for the interview...

YES!!! My final alumni/on site interview is over!!! PHEW!!! (Still have phone interviews though). That was okay... not to bad...

Hi Suze.

You seem to know a lot about these schools. I'm applying to Andover (and Exeter) for 06-07, and I was wondering what your SSAT scores were so I can get an idea about what my chances are. Were you accepted into Exeter too?

Thanks!!

Try to pm her directly. SSAT scores aren't everything, so make sure your whole application stands out on its own

Yeah, I know, thanks.

dont forget my tips on giving good interview. DONT BE YOURSELF I repeat DONT BE YOURSELF!
good luck

The current SSAT average is about 95. Like colleges, if your'e great at a sport, a legacy, urm or rich and famous, scores can be lower. I'd say the expectations are pretty much the same at the top 5. Good luck!

I'm Peddie '06 and came in as a new junior. I. LOVE. IT. I looked at several of the places at which you're looking - Deerfield, Exeter, Choate, Groton, St. Paul's. I visited the schools that accepted me, and Peddie felt the warmest to me. It also seemed to me to academically match the great bastions of prep school education (Exeter, Andover, etc.). The kids are much more down-to-earth, there is a great amount of diversity, the teachers are amazing. Many of the kids who have been coming to Peddie in the past few years have turned down acceptances from Exeter, Choate, and Deerfield. I think you really have to visit to see, but Peddie is definitely worth a look if you're considering these other schools.

I applied to both Andover and Exeter in 2003 and got in, although I chose not to go. Interviews went well, had almost straight A's in middle school, did well on standardized test. I liked Andover a LOT more than Exeter. Exeter has a reputation of being the more "conservative" of the two (they are seen as twins, and huge rivals). Also, Andover seemed alot more laid-back and friendly. Exeter requires a dress code, which includes ties for men. I hate dressing up, especially if I don't have to. This was a big turn-off for me.
Hope this helps, if you have any other questions by all means send me a message or a reply on the forum. Good luck!

buuuump (steveo your inbox is full)

haha, i have like no way of getting in to any of my schools: 79th percentile on math??? i mean, i probably gonna withdraw my apps. :( pretty disappointed...

Well, are you a URM or legacy? Even if your not, if your overall app is good then they'll still accept you (though your chance is probably dramatically decreased).

peddie is in no way a match for the top tier schools no matter how much money annenberg left them in fact they brought in more minorities and dumbed it down even more but added more bells and whistles to the campus. if you are dreaming that peddie = say exeter theres something in the punch over at peddie. never was an equal never will be.... especially now rtash.
