Applying to Ross as a Freshman

I applied as a pre-admit and I haven't gotten my decision yet. However, if I am rejected, what are the chances/stats regarding UMich freshmen who apply?

I heard that besides the pre-admits, Ross tends to accept transfers rather than UMich students, is this true? Therefore my question is, is there a less chance of getting into Ross if I apply as a freshman from UMich than if I apply as a transfer from another school?

3.8 UM GPA + 31 ACT

On average. (For freshman who get into pre-admit)

More information can be found: <a href="http://www.bus.umich.edu/Admissions/BBA/2006BBAprefadmit.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.bus.umich.edu/Admissions/BBA/2006BBAprefadmit.pdf</a></p>

Ross accepts very few transfers (3% last year). For the fall of 2006, Ross received 766 applications and 358 were admitted (47%). The average UM GPA was 3.6 with a middle 80% range of 3.3-3.8. This was before the first pre-admit class.

P.S. A Ross representative said that one of the biggest reasons freshmen applicants are rejected is because they failed to follow instructions. Ross holds seminars for prospective freshmen candidates... if you go to UM, be sure to attend.

and when you say they accept very few "transfers," you mean transfers from other colleges, correct? or do you mean transfers as in students transferring from lsa or engineering into ross?

The 3% is for external transfers. Internally, the acceptance rate is about 50% of freshmen.
