<p>I know that the Common App allows you to make different versions of your application, but I still can't get it to allow me to apply to the same school again. Do I have to make an entirely new application?</p>
<p>First question, why would you want to apply to a school twice??</p>
<p>I applied to a school for the spring semester and didn’t get in, but I’m now planning to apply for fall admission.</p>
<p>I would imagine they have some kind of reactivation mechanism. Most schools seem to do this. You should call/email the school and ask them. They usually only require you to update the info that has changed instead of do the whole application over again.</p>
<p>I don’t know whether you can use any part of the Common App over again for this situation.</p>
<p>However, I would strongly recommend that you do fresh essays. As well, won’t you have new information to add? Course listings, EC activities, possibly new prof recommendations…</p>
