Applying to too many UC's

I couldn't see this topic anywhere else. Does each UC school know all the UC's you applied to? Would it hurt your chances if you applied to too many? How many is too many?

No, the UC system suggests that you apply to four. They say that if you apply to four, you are very likely to get into at least one (unless your stats are horrible). I asked someone at UCLA if they can see the other schools you applied to and he said no. Apply to all of the schools you are interested in if you can afford it. Many people apply to several and end up getting into all of them. Don’t forget about TAG agreements.

No, you can apply for as many UCs as you want. For those students who have financial need, UC can waive the application fee for max. of 4 UCs.

I think you misread my question michael

I applied to 5 with 3 TAGs and got in everywhere. Many people apply to more than 5.

i applied to berkeley, ucla, sd, and irvine. got into 3/4 (everything except CAL). but yeah they know that everyone is applying everywhere. it’s not going to hurt you. just do your best and you should be fine.

and it’d be smart to apply to as many schools (that you want to go to/some backup) just incase you dont get into them.

yes apply to as many as you want.

I also applied to 4 but that was because the application fee was waived for 4
