I am currently a freshman in college in the USA. I am studying in one of the top 20 business schools in the nation and seek to apply to McGill's bcomm school for my 2nd year. My GPA for my first semester was a 3.76. My school is also seriously known for grade deflation putting me easily in the top 10% percent of my class. I have already submitted my application.

I want to know how competitive it will be for me to transfer into McGill. Any insights will be very appreciated. I will not even bother to put my SAT scores/high school grades since McGill did not ask me for them since I'm a potential transfer.

I think you have a good chance. Your GPA is solid. I would say you are a “match” because I cannot promise admission. As far as I know, McGill has a relatively competitive business program so you will be up against some really good applicants. Make sure you have a good resume to make your application pop.

If you have at least B in each calculus course then you haven’t applied for nothing. However, transfer chancing is a lot murkier than freshman chancing.
