Applying to transfer to davis and Berkeley with a low gpa..

So I have exactly 2.888 gpa right now..as they will see....I'm applying Davis and Berkeley for next fall. (However, i will also apply ucr and ucsc.. not that i really want to go there. And im applying tag for SB . )
I'm a transfer student from a junior college. I know my gpa currently is really low, and generally is impossible to get in. But I'm getting my hopes up because I'm pretty sure I'll get a 3.2 ~3.3 gpa when I finish this fall semester .. do you guys think that i have a chance to get accepted when i submit my updated FALL GPA?

If my math is right, assuming your 2.88 is from two regular-courseload semesters, you’ll need one regular-courseload semester where your GPA is over 3.7 to get a 3.2-3.3 GPA in that timeframe. Transfers admitted to UCD have GPAs from 3.26-3.74, and at UCB are from 3.64-4.00. I don’t see it happening at UCB, but if you work really hard (really, REALLY hard), you’ve still got a shot at UCD.
