Applying to transfer to UCLA, USC, or UC Berkeley?

I am a second year at a private university in Los Angeles but with junior standing.

In high school, I have taken:
AP Art History, AP Studio Arts: 3-D, AP European History, AP Human Geography, AP US History, AP Psychology, AP German Language & Culture, AP Calculus, AP English Lit, AP English Language, and AP Biology

My college GPA isn’t super high, it’s around 3.3-3.4 (in college)
As in Calculus I, History, Rhetorical Arts, Chemistry II, Bio Lab, Chem Lab
B in Biology I, Chemistry I, Anatomy & Phys Lab
C in Anatomy & Phys

And I predict my GPA to be around 3.0-3.5 after this semester.

My high school GPA wasn’t super high either, around 3.3 UW and 3.8W
I’m waiting on the ACT help site because I do not have access to my scores but I know my highest was 27/28 but superscored it’s higher. Highest is 12 in the writing, somewhere between 30-33 for math and science, and 27-30 for the reading section. It’s been two years since I have taken it.

In high school I was on a 4-year sports team and 2-years Track.
In college I am not super involved. I have a job and am involved with resident housing activities.

Battled with Eating Disorders and am still struggling but have gotten so far. My personal statement probably will be around that or about vulnerability/social approval/individualism

UCLA and UCB do not consider any HS grades, tests scores or EC’s for transfers. For the UC’s, you need a high college GPA, some college EC’s and some good personal statements along with meeting the transfer requirements for your major. You also need to be at 60 semester units/90 quarter units by the end of Spring 2016 and not all AP class credits will be transferable.

I suggest you post in the UC transfer thread if you have any more questions or want a decent chancing. You have not posted your intended major either. This will make a difference on your chances for these schools.

I’d say you are borderline. I’m assuming that you are applying as some kind of science major. Your transfer GPA needs to be closer to the average of 3.7-3.8 for UCLA, USC and UCB.

What you did in high school does not matter here, I agree that you seem borderline for the universities you mentioned. Try to increase your gpa as much as possible. Also, I suggest you keep your options open and also apply to less selective schools than the ones you have listed.
