So awhile back I was told that the odds of getting my GPA back up to 3.0 this semester was unlikely, but now I'm happy to say I'm at 3.1 and now I believe this opens the door to these colleges I have my eye on: University of Illinois-Urbana, Mizzou, and Indiana University. Before I go look at the campuses I have some questions about each I'm hoping I can get some answers for. I'm planning on majoring in journalism and minoring in history (or double major if I can get it done in same amount of time).

*What do these schools have about them that is special or unique about them concerning my majors? Or what are some things that they are the first of or rank highly in? For example Mizzou having the oldest journalism school and creating homecoming, or the UIUC library having the largest public academic collections in the world. Things like these interest me.

*Are there any established rankings that list journalism and history highly at each school? Aside for journalism at Mizzou, all the schools boast of being listed among the best in both fields but I can't find outside sources that say this.

*Out of all three schools, which one has the most conservative values? I'm aware you won't find one pro-conservative college in a thousand, but I'm also asking which has the most and least respect for conservative ideals. Maybe some of you have heard recently about the Michigan University newspaper editor who got his room attacked for making a pun on liberals. Since I plan on doing media extra curricular, obviously I need to be wary of this.

*Would any of these universities look more better as an alma mater than another? Specifically Mizzou. I have seen Illinois and Indiana, for example, called "Public Ivy" and seem to be considered a higher level. Is Mizzou considered Public Ivy too and in the same league or is it a step below? Also is it true that Illinois is by far the best school of the three? That's what some have told me.

*Which school has the biggest and weakest party scenes? And is partying an unavoidable aspect of that school or can it be avoided?

*Which school tends to be the most and least sanitary? I'm asking because I've heard stories of universities with beer cups and used condoms littered on the campus that rarely get picked up, and someone who vomited in a dorm at one of these colleges and it wasn't cleaned up all year.

*Out of all three schools, which has the biggest and least amount of a Social Justice Warrior culture? In other words what schools have rainbows everywhere with constant gay pride activities, feminists that fake a list of sex offenders from a directory to promote rape awareness (true story at Michigan), being told I deserve to die for being white or anything like that. Not to offend anyone, but I personally don't want to spend years in a place that enforces political correctness.

Please tell me anything you can, all responses are greatly appreciated.
