Applying to UMich

I understand that UMich has rolling admissions, but when I checked the schools' profile on College Board's website, it didn't really specifiy, so I just want to confirm that they do have this option.

So, assuming they do have rolling admissions, when did they start and when does it end?

Am I allowed to apply to an ED school and UMich at the same time? (ED school is Penn)

Thanks!

They begin accepting apps as soon as the app is published up until February 1. The first decisions go out in mid- to late October, and continue through March (sometimes even through April).

Thanks for the reply.

Any idea on whether I'm allowed to apply to UMich (rolling admissions) and Penn (ED) at the same time?

yes, u should be able to

Yes, you are. Last year I applied to Princeton ED and UMich rolling.

Also, I noticed that they do not accept rushed scores. I want to apply to UMich ASAP, but I won't be able to finish my SAT II's until December. I didn't see any specific requirements when it comes to SAT II's (In fact, I didn't see any requirements for it. It looked like they only required the SAT I with Writing?). Should I just send my SAT I scores from Oct. 8th and my one SAT II score from last year? Help!!

Thanks for the replies by the way. I'm working on my app. right now.

they dont consider sat2 scores. they so on their website. for some reason, they still ask which ones you've taken on the application, but in no way, shape, or form do they look at it(at least they are not supposed to.. but it still gets printed out along with sat1 scores).

So they only request SAT I scores? Am I allowed to send more than one teacher rec. or is it discouraged?

If you send them SAT II scores, they'll consider them. It won't be held against you if you haven't taken SAT IIs or if you don't send them those scores, but if you do send them and they're strong, all the better. I applied last year with a 1450 SAT and an 800 writing SAT II, and I'm sure they looked kindly upon it.

that makes sense even though they specifically say sat2s are not taken into consideration. how can they ignore additional data when its just there.

SAT II not taken into admissions decisions. if you send those scores, they'll probably use it to make placement decisions.
Lets say I took an SAT II last summer and did poorly on it. Is there a way I can let them not see it? If there isn't a way, then I'm going to have to take it over in november to cover up my tracks.

It is clearly stated on the Michigan website that SAT II is not required and not used to determine admissibility. You should take them at their words.

The SAT II is required if you are home schooled. Otherwise if you provide them, they will be used for academic advising or may be placement, that's all.
