Normally students apply to US colleges after their AS-level (11th grade), but I was wondering if it's a good idea to apply after I'm done with my whole A-level.

The thing is, I didn't get good enough grades in two subjects. I'm thinking of reappearing in these AS-level subjects in the coming October, and so it won't be possible for me to concentrate on college apps, SAT etc. So Retake (2 subjects) - SAT - A2 exams - Apply to US. This the plan!
Do you think it's a good idea to apply in early October next year with my whole A-level grades?

The place to start is at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.state.gov) After you have read through that, make an appointment with the counselors at the Advising Center that is closest to where you live. They are the experts, and can help you with the whole process. They know where students like you have been admitted in past years. EducationUSA is a not-for-profit organization, and the counselors pride themselves on providing accurate, un-biased information. If they are as good as the folks I used to work with when I lived outside the US, you will be in good hands.
