Applying to Wash U

I am visiting in October (flying in from CT). I hope I like the school! I'm just wondering if I have any legit shot at admission.....I know it's gonna be a reach but just how much of a reach?

2140 SAT
31 ACT

I work year round, President of our Habitat for Humanity, go a commuity garden at church, do an AIDS Bike Tour to raise money for the cause, am on the freshman welcoming team, played freshman baseball.....a few smaller things.....I'm just trying to get a feel for my chances. Anyone with idead I would love to hear from you!

Thanks

Eric

I hope you plan on having an interview during your visit. I think those are great, as are the tours!

What about your GPA and courseload? Those matter too. Your SAT/ACT and EC's look fine so I think you have a good shot. Good luck! You'll love the school - it's gorgeous.

GPA and courseload are the most important factors...please list those. Other than those you look great.

My GPA is about a 3.85
Sophomore year- 1 honors course
Junior Year- 1 AP, 1 honors
Senoir year- 2 ap's, 1 honors

Took 2 AP tests junoir year and got 5's on both (us history and french)
Will be taking 3 or 4 more this spring.

I have a rigorous schedule but admittedly it is not the ABSOLUTE hardest that I can take at my school. Its a good competitive suburban high school in CT sending lots of kids to good schools. We sent two to wash u. this past year.

Thanks!

I would just suggest retrying the ACT one more time. WUSTL is getting REALLY competitive, and while your GPA is really good, your courseload is going to be light compared to a lot of applicants. Your ECs look good as well. Good luck.
