Applying to Wharton, will this help?

In about 7 months I will be sending my Early Decision application to Wharton. Thus far my GPA is full 4 unweighted, whilst doing the IB diploma, and my SAT scores are mediocre though I will get them into the 2200+ range.

What I really wanted to ask though was, if I started a business that was making about 500 USD of revenue a month, and put that on my application (talked about it in the 150 word EC part, and possibly the longer essay), would it help my application?

If so, would it make a BIG difference (don't think many students at all start a business in their junior year)?

Would the fact that I am applying as an international student help me in any way (as I presume there are fewer international high school students starting a business than there are US students)?

Thanks a lot guys!

Edit: Other than that my EC's and work experience are relatively strong (some are related to business if that helps at all), so are my prospective recommendations.

honestly starting a company looks very good… yes how much revenue is important but it has to be a real company… and yes it will help… it shows you’ve already taken your first step in the field… also your international which makes it harder to get in so your going to need sick ecs… that extra fifty sat points no1 cares about… its the ecs and the passion that you need… along with the good grades and stuff

being international will hurt b/c US schools have quotas. I don’t know penn, but mit’s acceptance rate for internationals is 3%.

Eh, international pool is generally stronger (self selecting) so won’t get you much advantage. Admissions % is comparable to domestic for penn I think.

As for starting a business, it only helps if you convey the feelings and thoughts that motivated you to do it or your insight into the business world.
