Applying to YALE next year. Help Needed!

Hi everyone,
I'm a junior and I am interested in applying to Yale next year. The problem is: My freshmen year, didn't go as well as I hoped. Mostly "B" range. But, I was wondering if you could help out any.

Stats:
SAT: 1200 (too low, I know. Will retake)
GPA: (junior) 3.6
School: Large, Public
Freshmen Year:
Algebra 1-87%
Freshmen Focus-96%
Health-80%
PE-78%
French I- 86% (took in 8th Grade)
French II- 90%
Physical Sciene-90%
Global stuides I- 87%
English I- 91%

Sophmore Year:
Everything was a B average
85-92%

Junior:
Classes:
Honors English III
US History Honors
Chemistry II
Internship at Television Station (News), Next year going to do Hospital Internship
Algebra 3

EC's:
Recreation Department's Soccer League (9,10,11,12)
Volleyball (10,11,12)
School Pagent Contestant (11,12)
Newspaper (11,12)
Student Council Rep. (10,11,12)
and still working on a few more hopefully!

What do you think??? suggestions!

you need to find ur hook and passion and retake ur SATs and work on showing ur love to ur ECs like what do u love to do

I agree with the post above mine. You have to show a passion for your EC's, maybe voulnteer work, that always looks nice! A bad freshmen year, doesn't always matter, especially if your grades have IMPROVED! G'Luck!

are you planning on taking AP/college courses? Because your schedule looks rather weak, IMHO, for yale's standards.

EDIT: Just to be totally truthful, your grades are probably going to keep you from having a good chance at Yale (unless you plan on taking about 5 AP's next year and getting A's in all of them). Most kids who apply have several AP exams already under their belt, and a 3.8-4.0 unweighted GPA at least....and they're still deferred/rejected.
