Applying to Yale, should I take subject tests?

Hi! I took the SAT & ACT this past June, and scored 1900 on the SAT. That doesn’t quite fit the score range so I’m planning on retaking it (along with the ACT). I got a 31 on the ACT, and will probably improve that score significantly.
I haven’t taken any subject tests, and there are only two dates left for early admission. Should I take the subject tests and apply during regular admission, or can I submit the ACT and be fine for early?
Which one is in my best interest, and will increase my chances? Thanks very much.

No, Yale does not require SAT Subject Tests. However, please read everything on Yale’s site or just search up “Yale SAT Subject Tests.” Here is what came up on the first link:

I believe that you should definitely take 2 subject tests as getting 750+ on them could boost your admissions chances, however slim they are. Still, make sure to find more reasonable schools – Yale at this point is a very high reach for you.

Your ACT of 31 is “equivalent” to an SAT score of 2100-2150, so everything else being equal, I’d concentrate on trying to nudge that up a bit.

Just my 2 cents. You seem to be more of an ACT type.
