applying undeclared?

I want to apply to UCLA and i want to go into the medical field. i dont know whether i should apply as "life science/undeclared" or something more specific like "Psychobiology"

i want to have the best chance possible for getting in so what should i do.

applying undeclared is fine. college of letters and science doesn't take proposed majors into account

yup, your declared major does not matter.

it wont make a difference picking one over the other. many kids in your position change their major for pre-med once they're here anyway.

i read somewhere that one admissions person said that she likes students who put 'undeclared' because it means that they're willing to explore majors..something like that

or it means that they have no clue what to do and are not focused.

but i agree with what misterr said. the college of letters and science doesn't look at your major when you apply. so don't worry about putting down as undeclared, or psychobiology. and for the medical field, it doesn't matter what your major is; you just need to complete the pre-med requirements in order to be eligible to apply to med school.

Thanks for the great input everyone =)
