I know a girl who was accepted last year but she wasn't originally in the top 10% when she applied. However the moment she broke the top 10% she said she sent an updated transcript even as other people already got their acceptance letters and was accepted to Engineering (now attending).

I would like to do something like this, seeing as i dont think i'm in the top 10% as of last year but this year i think i can get my gpa up there. I'm wondering how i would go about this though. When should i send in my application? ASAP or wait longer? And i'm confused as to whether i'll be rejected outright for not being in the top ten before i can get an updated transcript sent off. I have a 2120/1390 SAT, very rigorous courseload with AP and LEAP classes, various awards, etc. so i'll be applying regardless of making the top ten% but...you know..it's rank rank rank. :/ If i don't get in, well, it's OOS for me which isn't bad but not much can beat in-state tuition for 4 years. I'll be applying to the College of Liberal Arts for the IR and Global Studies major or Government (or should i apply for a less populated major and switch? I'd also consider Asian or Middle Eastern studies).

If anyone has gone through this process or can shed some light and guidance i'd be ecstatic. Thank you! :)
