What is the deadline for applying undergrad, the website said aug 1.. i'm kind of confused since i thought one can't apply to colleges before september 15....

I just looked at the UC website and it said "November 1-30, 2006" applied to all UC campuses.

Ya, at least if this years is anything like last, the UC Application online will open up for sending November 1st and will be able to be sent in between November 1st and 30th. You'll hear responses throughout March. UCSDs this year if I remember correctly was the 19th, a Sunday. The year before, the 18th, a Friday.

The application will not ask for Teacher recommendations, or for official school transcripts for that matter. You'll be trusted to input your own grades, SAT and AP scores, and extracurriculars onto the form (they will be later confirmed by admissions in July after you are accepted). Only SAT scores will you need to send in before January.

3 Personal statements will be needed as well.

Good luck! :)

What 3 personal statements?

The essays?

Some call them 'statements', some 'essays', some 'silly writing thingies'. Whatever floats your boat, really.

You remember, don't you?

I don't think I know anyone whos actually had to confirm their extracurriculars though...only transcripts and test scores always need confirmation

They do a random check on things like extracurriculars. Something like 10% of those accepted or something is what I heard from my college counselors. Its mostly with just the high school and the college, not the student supposedly.

Andrew, you're dead wrong about the day we heard about our acceptances. It was Saturday, March 18th. I will never forget that. 0=]
