ApplyTexas Help!?

I am only using ApplyTexas to apply to UT Austin and I am very confused about some of the info I have to fill out, especially the extracurricular and volunteer activities page. Here are some of my questions:

-If your position for a club is "member", should you select "no" for "were you elected?" or should you select "not applicable" because it is not a leadership position?

-If you do have a leadership position, such as vice president, should you select "yes" for "were you elected?" even if you were appointed to that position? (by a teacher sponsor for the club)

-How should you complete the service experience section if I have various community service hours at many different places/with many different organizations? All of my service opportunities come from Key Club, and we volunteer anywhere from nursing homes to schools to special olympics. There are so many different places I've volunteered for varying hours that add up to over 300 hours of community service. I'm submitting an expanded resume where I'll mention my 300+ hours of service under key club, but how should I list this on ApplyTexas? This brings me to my next question…

-I checked off the box that says I am submitting a separate resume. The box below mentions you must submit an "online" resume to be considered for scholarships. Is me expanded resume that I plan to submit via the UT document upload system considered a "paper" resume? Do I have to fill out the extracurricular and volunteer activities page even if I am submitting that expanded resume? I'm really confused about this…

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I’m also confused, are you applying for fall 2015??

Apply Texas opened yesterday for fall 2015 applications so I’m guessing that is what the op is applying for, why would that be confusing?

@vs1997‌ @3scoutsmom‌ yes I’m applying for fall 2015

ah okay, thanks @3scoutsmom‌

Bump.

Bump! This is really old, but the OP has the same questions that I have! Can anyone answer them?

No one can guess with any authority. Use your judgment. If you were not elected, then choosing NA and No are both honest answers on a membership. If you were selected by a sponsor for a leadership, then I would choose No. Some admissions groups will look at election as a vote of confidence from your peers and some will consider it a popularity contest. No way of knowing.

On the key club example, you can choose to enter 50 organizations or one. As long as the total hours is entered roughly correct, it is fine. Up to you.

On the resume, I don’t know the answer. My son filled out the ApplyTexas section and uploaded a resume through the U Texas system. I think the box on Apply Texas is for sending a paper resume to ApplyTexas which we did not do.
