Appointee Orientation

I just got back from the orientation. It was VERY informative. If anyone didn’t get to make it out, I can answer some questions if you want…just fire away.

I went last week too - it was a really good time. Have you signed yet?

Yes, I have now signed my papers. It looked like the people who did not already sign their papers had special treatment...did you find that also? Had a chance to actually talk with Col. Carpenter and he was extremely happy that so many were signing up.

I hosted one of your future classmates, who signed a couple hours before I met her. She seemed motivated to come here, which was nice to see.

I hadn't signed papers yet, and I really didn't find I had any special treatment. If anything, I felt a little like an outcast, since everybody around me was so certain and got to buy boots (etc). In fact, of all the people I met at my Orientation (second one), I don't think I met a single one who was uncertain. Maybe it was different in the other sessions, though. Either way, I had a great time and a great escort, though. :)

I was quite impressed with the appointee orientation. It was VERY professional.

As was I...

besides for the insurance papers (which have to be mailed by mid-may)

all the othe forms we just bring with us on june 30th????? or do they have to be mailed in as well?
