Appointment!!

Hey guys... I just wanted everyone to know that I got my appointment yesterday in the mail... and to anyone that doesn't make it through the first time, DO NOT GIVE UP! It took me 3 times to get in and now I'll be heading up there in June! I am soo excited... For those of you that are going also, maybe we could get in touch some how and maybe meet up before we get sworn in. Alrighty well I hope everyone has a wonderful day and I will be keeping in touch

Nick

Congrats Nick!!! 3 times?! WOW!

And congrats to NAPS05mom's daughter for making Company Commander!

Emily, you are so sweet. :) She was really excited about the Co. Commander spot until today when Gunny was yelling at her. LOL Sometimes, be careful what you wish for......
Hope you are doing well. I was in Newport this past weekend. Mighty bleak this time of year. I think I prefer the warm weather in that part of the country much more. The ice sculptures were nice though. ;) Keep plugging away. May is right around the corner.

P.S. Congratulations, Nick. What dedication you have. I am very impressed. :)

CONGRATULATIONS NICK!
The Admissions Board must have been pretty impressed by your hard work and TENACITY! I sure am. That is such wonderful news that you received an Appointment to the United States Naval Academy!!! It sounds like your dream came true and YOU made it happen. What an inspiring story. And what a great country that allows fine young men and women to set goals, work hard, and achieve great things.

You and my daughter will be classmates. Good Luck! (Are you in a state of shock?)

NAPS05mom,
Congratulations to your daughter for her achievements at NAPS!

Thanks, Westcoastmom.
She is very excited, but now is like, "yipes!" The only good thing is that she gets her own room for the remainder of the year now. That definitely makes her happy!

P.S. I just saw that your daughter got her appointment today. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! You must be so excited as I'm sure she is. Hopefully our daughters will meet up this June. Congrats again.

Hehe, we all have our Gunny moments. She will do just fine.

Go Navy!!!

wstcoastmom... the state of shock that I am in right now... it isn't on any scale... I couldn't sleep the first night and its gonna be hard to sleep tonight. I can't wait for these 4 months to come and go so I can stand on the grounds and actually say... "I made it"...

Best of luck to everyone that will be joining me in June... but until then... take it easy and if its easy... take it twice...

Nick

Nick:
Just curious, but where have you been going to school while reapplying? You are going to be in great shape with classes and stuff. Now, get running. I hear that you can't be in good enough shape. Yikes~
Congrats again. That is just awesome!

I've been going to Texas Tech University. I ended up running on the track team here for my first semester but ran out of time and had to stop. I'm into the second semester Junior level courses for the Mechanical Engineering major here so I hope that will help me out alot once I get up there...
