Approaching Stanford Photo Trouble

<p>I, foolishly yet predictably, didn't start to finish my Approaching Stanford forms until today. I tried to submit my photo, but the page wouldn't load. The instructions said it was "critical" that we got our photo in, but I hope I'm okay. Considering it wouldn't load, I can come to a few conclusions:</p>

<ol>
<li>Most people waited until the last minute, so I'm not alone.</li>
<li><p>It's still having trouble, so people are still trying, so I'm not alone.</p></li>
<li><p>It's just a picture, so it can't possibly be THAT critical.</p></li>
<li><p>They consider the possibly of a picture getting rejected, so sometimes people don't get their pictures officially in until late.</p></li>
</ol>

<p>I'm just wondering if anyone is having similar trouble uploading their picture, or experienced this last year. I'm sure nothing terribly bad can happen because it's just a picture, but I don't want to have any trouble...</p>

<p>I did get the rest of my forms in on time, so that's okay.</p>

Did you make sure that the picture was less than 2MB? I believe that’s the size limit but it may be even smaller. Go ahead and save the picture (e.g. MS Picture Mgr, etc) in compressed format and try it again. It should upload the picture and then take you to an editing tool that lets you crop the picture. Probably not that big a deal but you want to get your I.D. on day one, get things started right. Good luck…</p>

<p>Whew! I just submitted my picture with no trouble. I tried resizing it and I did it on another computer, so I’m not sure which was the solution. Thanks!</p>
