<p>I'm just wondering whether we have to fill this part of the common app, because it's hard to find an estimate for the amount of time I spend on particular activities. </p>
<p>Also, if (for example) I draw/sketch as a hobby, can I indicate this in the extra curriculars section, even if I haven't necessarily done art as a subject in school or even received huge awards for it?</p>

<li><p>for the time spent, I think they just want a rough estimate. try to think about how many hours you spend on it per month, and then calculate it from there. </p></li>
<li><p>yeah you can include hobbies. just make it sound meaningful enough. don’t just write “I draw in my spare time…” talk about how you’ve advanced, your reason behind it, etc.</p></li>
