Approximately Two Weeks Until "The Event Horizon"

<p>Only a few days remain until the Big Reveal, that moment when MIT releases EA decisions to the masses. As an EA applicant, I'm brimming with anticipation (and anxiety). I recall a quote from Carl Sagan (my hero) where he cheerfully states reminds us that we don't know where we're going, but we know we're on our way. </p>

<p>To help distract me from the waiting game, I decided to lose myself on StumbleUpon for a while. After the usual articles about neuroscience and dinosaurs, I came across a neat tool that I wanted to share with my fellow CCers. If you are like me and find the "billions and billions" of stars out there to be fascinating, you'll really enjoy this:</p>

<p>What day are EA decisions for MIT released? You say “two weeks” in your title, then “few days” in your post…</p>

<p>well, a lot of ED decisions come out the 9th, so probably a few days after that…</p>

<p>So yeah, about two weeks. After months of waiting, two weeks is just too much for me to handle lol </p>

<p>Word on the proverbial street is that decisions will be released sometime after Dec. 10 but before Dec. 20. Either way, waiting isn’t going to be easy. I guess all we can do is take a deep breath and dare to hope. Maybe we’ll impress someone on the AdCom with our quirkiness; perhaps our essays will make the right person laugh. Until then, I’m checking CC and the MIT blogs every few nanoseconds.</p>

<p>This is what is and has been going on in my head for months <em>throws arms up in air “WHAAAAAAA”</em> and will probably continue to do so until they come out…</p>

My guess is decisions will probably be Dec. 14-16.</p>

<p>I saw somewhere that the official dates are Dec 10-15th.</p>

<p>and also Matt or Chris will post a blog a week or so before they are released, telling us when they are coming out, so I’d assume that whenever that blog comes out, a week more.</p>
