11) Yale

nice stats!

1) Rice U/Baylor MSP- honestly dont know much about…
2) Brown PLME- 50/50
3) Boston U Accelerated Medical Program- MATCH
4) U of Chicago- pretty good chance
5) Northwestern HPME (probably not b/c sat iis but might as well try!)- ehh i wouldnt think
6) Emory
7) Stanford- 80% chance of getting in
8) Georgia Tech Honors- good chance
9) UGeorgia Honors- good chance
10) Washington University St. Louis USP in medicine- good chance
11) Yale- reach, i refuse to match people in ivy league schools…

GOOD LUCK!

Good grades, good SAT, weak SAT subject tests, OK EC’s. The subject tests will hurt you a lot at the schools that require them.

1) Rice U/Baylor MSP - reach?
2) Brown PLME - reach
3) Boston U Accelerated Medical Program - match?
4) U of Chicago - low reach
5) Northwestern HPME (probably not b/c sat iis but might as well try!) - reach
6) Emory - high match/low reach
7) Stanford - reach
8) Georgia Tech Honors - high match?
9) UGeorgia Honors - match?
10) Washington University St. Louis USP in medicine - reach

thank you guys!!

“The subject tests will hurt you a lot at the schools that require them.”

:( I know but thankfully only Northwestern required them. But the thing is, I didn’t do score choice on collegeboard meaning the schools I sent them to can see all my scores. So will they hopefully overlook my SAT II scores since it is not put under consideration or will they notice this and weight it in regards to my application??

SuperHenderson, you’re being way too generous. 50/50 for PLME? 80% chance of getting into Stanford? Boston’s BS/MD program a match? Most of the applicants to these schools and programs will have stats like or better than the OP’s, so those are all definitely reaches.

^hate to admit you’re right, although the stanford chance did put me in a stellar mood :D

any chances on the other schools?

Well, it’s a flawed assessment. He says that Yale is a reach because it’s an Ivy, but Stanford an 80% chance? They have about the same selectivity.

stanford might actually be greater this year. 32,000 applicants!..

i read on the stanford website that their acceptance rate for 2010 was going to be 7.5% which is less than yale

chance me
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/849041-my-hooks-hooky-enough-make-some-good-universities-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

yup, super competitive.
chance me first ;)

how did you do so well at school, yet so poorly on subject tests. it makes me think there is grade inflation at your school. as a result, i think it may lower your chances at all of these schools

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/845323-probably-will-just-going-my-state-school-but-chance-me-these-improbable-sc.html</a></p>

The only problem I see i your scores on SAT II
Rice - match
Brown - reach
Boston U Accelerated Medical Program - no idea sry :frowning:
U of Chicago - high match
Northwestern - high match
Emory - match
Stanford - reach
Georgia Tech - high match
UGeorgia - low match
Washington University St. Louis - match
Yale - reach
good luck!!!
chance back?

Yale reach
Georgia tech match/high match
northwestern high match
WU match

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/845309-chance-me-por-favor-urm-d.html</a></p>

“how did you do so well at school, yet so poorly on subject tests. it makes me think there is grade inflation at your school. as a result, i think it may lower your chances at all of these schools”

I had not studied for either the chemistry or math ii test as i should have :frowning:
and the difference between studying and not studying for me is like the difference between a calm breeze and a hurricane^^;

trust me, no grade inflation. I’m dying in my classes this semester. all are well earned grades, though, I promise!

will colleges automatically assume this though???

“will colleges automatically assume this though???”
Colleges don’t expect you to not study for your SATs, so I think they will.

1) Rice U/Baylor MSP- Match
2) Brown PLME- Definite reach
4) U of Chicago- Low reach
5) Northwestern HPME (probably not b/c sat iis but might as well try!)- Not sure about HPME, but for the regular program- High match
6) Emory- Match
7) Stanford- Huge reach
10) Washington University St. Louis USP in medicine- Reach, though you may be a match for the regular program
11) Yale- Reach

Chances back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/841510-joining-club-chances-dartmouth-brown-amherst-etc-2.html</a></p>

overall you have most of these in the bag, some of the harder schools you’ll have a bit more difficulty with, but you’ve set yourself up very nicely

If you are looking at acceptance into the medical school guarantee programs, getting into Washington University in St.Louis University Scholar Program is just as hard, if not even harder, than getting into Stanford or Yale. In many cases, Washington U’s Medical School is ranked even higher than the Yale and Stanford, so I don’t really get how some people are saying in the posts above that Washington is a match while Yale is a huge reach.

It may be helpful to research how selective these kinds of programs are by looking through past CC threads like this one:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/washington-university-st-louis/746836-university-scholars-program-medicine.html</a></p>

BUMP! Anyone else? Chance please?

Hi TS, i am applying for a space in those combined BA/MD programs as well.
I consider myself as a reach for every single one of them due to the sheer limited space.
We have similar SAT(mine is 2260) and other ECs. Although i’m an int’l student, i did manage to represent my country in both int’l bio/int’l math olympiads (obtained a medal each). Hence some of the prior chances are really really optimistic.

Regarding the selectivity of those programs, WashU is the hardest to get in. This is followed by HPME from Northwestern, followed by Rice/Baylor, followed by PLME from Brown.

Hope this helps

BUMPPPPPPPPPP someone else pleaseeeee chance me? I’ll chance back!!!
