<p>I am a senior and I want to apply early to the UCs. I am taking the ACT on Sunday and i am planning to take the SAT II Subject Test on October 7 2005. So my questions are:</p>
<p>Can you apply early in the UCs?
How late can you take the SAT/ACT and Sat Subject Test to apply early?
And is it good idea?</p>

<p>I know that the application period starts on November 1. The application is available October 1, so you can start it early, but you won't be able to send it until November.</p>

<p>There is an SAT test on November 5th, and also one on December 3rd. You can take either one. HOWEVER, if you take the one on December 3rd, you will have to tell the College Board to immediately send your scores to the UCs, since that December test is after the admissions process is closed. In other words, you will be sending your scores in before you even knew how you did. I have no knowledge about the ACT... </p>

<p>there is no such thing as "Early" to the UC's....apps are due Nov 30, and have been for at least five decades. Dec scores will be reviewed -- rush not necessary, according to a UC adcom I spoke with.</p>
<p>btw: don't wait until 11:30 pm on the 30th to transmit -- the servers are notorious for going down, and at exactly 12:00 am PT, they are locked.</p>
<p>my year they offered an amnesty period hehe. you could submit your app the day after the deadline. something that takes 1 second to upload may take 1 hour to upload right before the deadline LOL. </p>
<p>there is no early anything for UC's. </p>
<p>the latest SAT i believe is december. you will have to submit your latest SAT scores on your app, but they will be overriden with your new scores (if they are better) when you send your SAT scores through collegeboard to all the colleges that you're applying to.</p>

<p>Nope, there are no EDs either for the UCs.</p>
<p>Correct to the above, whether you apply on the first day allowed or the last (November 30) is entirely irrelevant to the admission decision and the UC's have only regular admission that is decided after January, and though apps are due by November 30, they take the December test scores.</p>
