I took the ACT last month for the first time and my composite score (according to the score report online) is a 25. I'm disappointed. I was expecting at least a 28. I really really need the 28. Are the scores online 100% accurate?

Also, I'm going to take it again in September. After I finish my AP exams, and such, I'm planning to study. I studied about 2 weeks before the test, with the Princeton Review book and got this score. Any advice?

If you have not taken any real practice tests, you should do so. There's a red book with 2 real ACT's and few officially relesaed exam out ther. I got a 28 my first time (I am happy with it since Eng is my second... in a way third language). *****I also took princeton review online course. I sugget it if you want to score higher on English or Math. I personally think it doesnt help u much in Science or Reading section.

hey me and you are in the EXACT same situation! I got a 25 too and was hoping for atleast a 28 lol! Have you taken the SAT's yet? I've heard that people who do poorly on the ACT do better on the SAT. Maybe the ACT test format just isn't for us (I hope so atleast!). I just took the SAT this May so I'm going to wait for those scores and if they come out good I'm just gonna scratch the ACT scores and never look at them again. So I suggest just trying the SAT and study for both this summer!! Especially on the areas that you need work on.

Yes, the online scores are probably 99.9999% accurate. Mine line up exactly with the paper copy. Don't study harder, study smarter. Just find a book that gives you the impression of being helpful, and go cover to cover on it. I was expecting a 28 and got a 31.

Yeah the April 07 ACT was pretty tough; In fact it was harder than most of the practice test I take and real tests. Here are my stats

English- 28
Math-26 ( usually do a lot better)
Reading-27
Science- 23( Always Kills me)

I really need a 30 at least. Can someone give me advice besides Practicing and going over books. I have tried almost everything and now I signed up for the June 9, 2007 test. I hope it will be easy enough for me to get a 30.
