@mab, good job with the misplaced modifier, if you were skimming through that, like you could have missed it, easily.

Anyway, how do you guys think that you did as a whole?

ughh ok so i definately got 3 wrong in math but i think i knew the rest of them. definately got 1 wrong in english, 2 in reading, and none in science so far. ughh i really need a 32 or i am going to be very upset =

@gagafan

I hear you man… i need a 30+ … i’ve studied too much for all that hardwork to go to waste… i was just looking through the princeton review prep guide and i noticed that on each section you can give yourself a 4 - 5 point buffer some sections even more depending on curves and you can still end up with a 30+

we shall see

@ yankees & mabs

I’m pretty sure the answer was like " as (subject)* headed into the clouds…"

*we? the plane? I forget.

does anybody remember the “man of the year” question w/ man ray in the beginning of the english section…was the answer a humorous element?

it was intended to be humorous yeah

@pkm, yeah that would be the correct one. There was another one close to that with the same kind of answer right? As we…

Did anyone order the Test Booklet for this exam? If you did order it and scan it into one pdf document (along with answers and score conversion tables), I would be more than happy to trade for the file (I have a bunch of PSATs, APs, ACTs, SATs, etc.). Let me know through PM please!

How do you order the Test booklet!?

Did those of you who were wanting to predict your scores (based on how many you think you got wrong – by section) get your questions answered? I was too busy to reply yesterday and don’t have time to read entire thread, but if anybody wants an estimate, I have 2 prior scales and would be happy to estimate your section and composite scores. Just post the number of questions you think you missed, and I’ll calculate your estimate. Or you can pm me.

@ dwei1019: Read this- [ACT Score Information: Requesting a Copy of Your Test Questions and Answers](<a href=“ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT”>ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT).

Well… I took the ACT for the first time yesterday and thought I did awful.

I thought the English was a breeze. I know there are a few I missed, but I’m anticipating a 25 in English. The math, however, was retchid. When it was talking about the teachers and the kid with the marching band flags, I just guessed. I think I put 24 for the marching flag question on the math.

Also, the reading was pretty bad too. For me. And I consider myself an awesome reader. Does anyone know the answer to the question for the passage about Hank Williams where it said something like, “Did the boy or his brother or both of them show the photograph to their mother?” I found it in the story, and it said that they both discussed the photograph with their mother, but I’m not so sure. I thought it was just the narrator that showed his mother the photograph. The ENTIRE Hank Williams story confused me.

And the science. Well, I don’t even know where to begin there. It was just awful all together.

The science section was difficult.

I’m curious regarding what the curve will be.

@momofsongbird, what would:
-7 Math
-1 Reading
-2 Science
-2 English be

Dukelover87, here ya go.

Scale 1 / Scale 2
E 35 / 35
M 32 / 31
R 34 / 35
S 35 / 33
Total 136 / 134
Est. Comp. 34
Good luck!

really? that seems like such a lenient math curve. 7 wrong can be a 32??

Dukelover87, yup, on 1 of my 2 scales (Princeton Review 2010), Math goes 59-60 is 36. 57-58 is 35. 56 is 34. 54-55 is 33. 53 is 32.

Dukelover, I can say that 32 is probably a good estimate for the score for missing 7 on the math. I had to make (educated) guesses on about that many, not to mention a few that I probably missed because of careless mistakes, and I scored a 32 on the March math test.

I’m not sure about missing 1 on the reading though. If I’m not mistaken, I’ve seen posts on this board that said missing 2 on the reading is still a 36. Then again, it might change depending on the curve.

Is anybody else really anxious to get his/her grade back? I took the ACTs for the first time in April, and am planning on the May SAT, but it would be such a great stress reliever if I knew my ACT score already!

Yes, but we are obligated to wait a multitude of weeks.
