Now everyone had March 10th dreams, but for those of you waitlisted at your number 1 schools or who only applied to one school, doesn't it feel like you have to wait again until after April 10th? Do you feel nervous or what? Also I would have thought that you would feel even more nervous everyday. I know that I am going to be checking my mailbox and e-mail every single day until September :)

Not to up your anxiety level or anything, but in our experience (twice) the waitlist notification comes in a phone call (they want to get this wrapped up fast at this point too). The good thing about that is that I can guarantee you that if it comes, it will be a surprise. You will not, in fact, spend the next six months sitting by the phone... and at some totally random moment, when you are preoccupied with fighting with your parents or trying to figure out what to wear somewhere, or rushing out the door late, or cramming for an exam, the phone will ring...

interestedmom5 - What they did they say during the phone call ? Did they ask you to make decision immediately ?

I do dream about april 10, a phone call from #1 school, but I still have to pay registration fee (which can not refund) to one of the school accepted my S .......

They said--Hi, this is so and so, we have good news for you, I'm delighted that we can offer x a place on our class. After a minute of chitchat we asked how soon they needed to know and they said, I believe, within a day or two. I think we felt that they didn't expect an answer that same day, but anything beyond two days we would have had to have a good reason for the delay. Both of these were for day schools and came after the 10th--one later in April and one in June.

thanks for the insight on your experience interestedmom5. hopefully i will get over the anxiety i have now nd i won't be rushing to the phone everytime it rings :)
