Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had attended the admitted students day in Malibu last year. It is scheduled to run from 8AM to 3PM on April 10th. Does anyone know what happens here?

I called the admissions office about the April 10 reception. They said that it will include a tour that is more extensive than the typical tour (e.g., you actually get to see the dorm rooms instead of just the dorm lobby), a Division Fair that will permit students to meet the professors in the different divisions, and general orientation about the school. If you look back to April, 2008 in this forum, you will find some postings by people who attended last year’s event.

I will be attending :]

Hey, anybody know where i can find more info on this tour? And how to register ( i’m an admitted student.)

There’s a link in the acceptance email.

Wasn’t there something in your admission packet? If not I will be on campus Wednesday and I will inquire what the link is.

thanks gwu_girl.

Well, I haven’t received an admission packet yet. Just the email.

I will be there to answer questions as part of the parent panel, see you then! if you haven’t been to Malibu and have an questions about the area, let me know. It might be a little rainy:( not the usual beautiful Malibu day!

So, who’s going to this tomorrow?

Seems not too many CCers are going to Pepperdine…

I’ll be there, but I’m not sure what to expect. From 8:00 to 3:00 is a long time, and I don’t even know what we’ll be doing there the whole time.

Anyone know?

won’t be able to make it but desperately need a question answered… What do Pepperdine students do on the wknd??? Especially if you do not have a car, what options are available to you… I heard the campus gets bleak on the wknds as many kids leave campus and not much to do in terms of activities/parties…

Was there today, met some ccer’s:)
Weekends are quiet, but there is life on and off the campus. The beach, lots of good weather in L.A. year round. Kids go to the beach at night , bomfires etc. There are parties off campus, there are movies, coffee house music on campus, sports on campus including club and intramural for all students. There is Santa Monica within 20 -30 minutes depending on traffic where there are lots of things to do. There is the valley also 20-30 minutes away…typical restaurants, movies, malls etc. and then there is Hollywood and Westwood with plenty of nightlife. There are lots of people on campus with cars to hitch ride with. My D has never been bored!
