Post All you thoughts, predicted/actual, study methods, ect, ect,

I took it last April and obtained a 30. Taking it now and hopefully will pull a 34 maybe a 35.
All I have used is the red book, and the old practice test booklets that are around online.

First time taking it. Practice tests have been going pretty well… 32-34ish… Really hoping for a 34, but I’ll be alright with a 33 (but I’ll still retake).

I’ve been doing the tests in the ACT booklets that they give out every year, but some of them seem a bit too easy so idk what to expect.

I’ve also been using McGraw Hill’s practice tests since they’re the only thing I have lol.

For English, I’m not really sure. I just went over the grammar rules a couple of times, and each test I get a few grammar questions wrong and a few of the other types of questions wrong (the ones where they ask what sentence should be added, etc)

Any tips to ensure good reading or science scores? Mine tend to vary a lot

I was doing well till this sunday getting 31, 32, 33 from Redbook during last few weeks and suddenly from monday I am making lots of mistakes on practice tests even the tests that I did earlier I am doing more mistakes. Any suggestions. Did any one face similar situation. This is happening mainly in my English and reading.

Hi All, can you all share your preparation plan for the next two days. I think I might have done too much of the sample tests so I just would like to relax today and just review few things for couple of hours tomorrow and go to bed for the test on saturday. Please share and suggest your ideas for next 2 day preparation.

Hi, I am a 7th grader taking the ACT test. I am in the Duke tip program and I am trying I get into their camps. Would you have any tips/suggestions for me? Thanks😄

@starmember I’m about to take my last practice test, and then rest Friday.
You can always take it again and with the act you can delete scores. Just relax. @sailorkatie Read the questions carefully, general advice for the act is useless because everyone has their strengths and weakness.

I’m doing one last practice test tonight using an official released test from the “Preparing for the ACT” booklet. I’m also going to go over the basic strategies and look on how to improve my essay score. That’s about it, really. Of course, I’m going to bed early tonight and going to eat breakfast tomorrow as well as take a few snacks with me.

^I thought English was very easy. Math was a bit rocky for the last 20, but nothing too difficult. Reading was about right. I, personally, felt science was beyond easy, but I’m a science guy so this probably won’t apply to most people. The arguing scientist one was the easiest I have ever had.

Overall, I thought it was fine. Agreed about the essay, though. I thought math was weird, because it had a couple of non-typical questions. What was the answer to the coterminal Angle B one??

I agree with the science and math being a little tricky, but not too bad. I also thought that English was really easy (I actually had time to double check all my answers, which has never happened). Reading was average. As for the essay, mine was horrible… wasn’t a huge fan of the prompt…

Gotta agree with Likeasir on this on. People who I took the test seemed to struggle on the Math and Science. Writing was on par with usual, and reading seemed easier than usual to me. I’m sure they’ll curve it appropriately. A general consensus seems to be that those two were harder than usual.
Im hoping for a big math curve because I struggled on one question (which Likeasir explained thanks) and made a silly error on question #3 -_-
Good luck to you Starmember, can’t do much else but wait now.
