April 1st--the end of the world or the start of a new life?

^^Sometimes it’s important to say cliches. Whatever.

“End of the world” is a cliche.
So it “start of a new life.”

April 1st will be another day, except that I might hyperventilate throughout it.

Idk. In between? I imagine it’ll be the end of the world to receive a rejection from Stanford, but then again it’s not like I’ll be surprised. I’m slowly coming to realize that life might not be so bad if I went elsewhere…besides, I applied to a bunch of great schools. At this point it would only be the end of the world for me if I got rejected EVERYWHERE. Now that’s a scary thought.

Getting rejected from your #1 is NOT as bad as you think. It already happened to me. I’d know.

^Yeah, same here.

And then you go to your #2 and realize that your second choice is SO much better than your #1 could have ever been.

^ yup exactly!!

I think people who go to their 2nd choice still think of their 1st choice as their 1st choice. My sister’s happy at Northwestern now, loves it there, but the way she talked about Georgetown when I got in. Why, she was hanging on it as if increase of appetite had grown by what it fed on!

That random Shakespeare quote wasn’t very useful there.

I’m going to get rejected now. I’m no longer Ivy league quality–I spelled Santa Claus–>Santa Clause on my ivy league essays. Even a 1st grader can spell that correctly.

Two weeks or so after you get rejected from your #1, you lost all interest and your #2 becomes your #1.

@ xAAAx, I think both ways are acceptable! But I’m not sure? I would’ve spelled it the same way you did.

Pretty much. Well, as long as you having rationality and good coping skills.

@xAAAx: I would make that mistake.

lol it’s the name of the Tim Allen movie. Poor judgment on the director’s part

EXACTLY.

I liked that movie, too.

BERNARD. <3

:() 1 AM and school tom
