Fairly certain it was the growth of the business called for the expansion. For one, the 8 sons were born like 400 years ago. And as it listed the expansions, it gave a reason for each… and they all related to growth of the business. Like adding the cellar to store more ink, and digging the pits to keep the materials.

growth of business was the answer. The 8 babies were born 400 years before they started expanding, and each expansion (the cellar/pit/etc.) came listed with a reason why they needed it, pertaining to expansion

could anybody tell me what the form code exactly means? I remember I had 67F… Does that mean that all 67F’s are the exact same test with the same order and questions? Because my entire classroom had 67F and that didn’t make sense to me because everyone on the SAT had different ones. Just curious.

Also on the fish passage was it port holes to tail?

There is a test for those who have religious obligations on saturday and have to take it a different day so im assuming thats why

The reason for the expansion of the ink place was definitely because of the birth of 8 sons.

It was right in the text. You didn’t have to infer anything for that one, it outright said in the text that the birth of the 8 sons caused the place to be expanded.

Just because it happened 400 years ago doesn’t mean it never happened.

yeah this question is debatable would like more opinions.

Sorry if this is off topic, but how do you guys think the reading curve will be?

@Mikey: There’s a whole thread for that: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/act-preparation/1123996-act-curve.html

Ohh, forgot about that one. Thanks!

I said birth of the 8 children…there was more support for it in the passage. I wanted to say business expansion, but I didn’t see enough conclusive evidence for me to make that inference. Besides this question, I think I got everything else correct. The only one I wasn’t sure on was the author’s POV question. I put the one that said the narrator was looking back at her childhood, or something to that effect. The answer I was debating on was the one that went something like this “The narrator is currently an inkmaker and is describing the process used to make ink that she still currently uses.” Obviously those aren’t the words, but it’s been a while since the test. I think the consensus on these boards is that she was remembering her childhood?

childhood.
