I think reading will follow -1=35 -2=34 -3=32/33
Math…No harder than any other math section i’ve taken so probably a typical curve
Science was pretty tough, so maybe -1=35/36 -2=34/35 -3=32/33
English was fairly easy, so -1=35 -2=34 -3=33/34 seems right

English will probably have an average curve unless the ACT decides that the essential/nonessential clause question was controversial (I don’t know how they’ll determine that).

Math was above average; I’ve seen much harder tests, but I can see a scale of either -1/-2 for 35 or -2/-3 for 34 (the pyramid question and function shifting question probably will have under 28% correct). It’s pretty unlikely, though, that we’ll get a -0/-1 for 36, as that’s an extraordinarily rare scale.

Reading was below average; nothing was vague in the test, but I felt it was a little more pressing for time than other tests. I don’t think we’ll get a favorable scale; maybe 36 (-0), 35 (-1), etc.

Science was harder than most, but I don’t know how it’ll play out. I don’t think we’ll have a 36/34 pitfall for -1, but it’s hard to predict how the scale will work from there.

Hmm, I agree about the science; it will probably have a decent curve.

Tbh, I have no idea about English. I thought it was pretty easy, minus a few questions.

Reading seemed a bit easier than the practice sections I took (mainly the prose), but I still didn’t finish in time, so hopefully there will be a bit of a curve (like -1 = 36 or -2=35).

Math seemed… alright. Made some silly mistakes and got caught up on a question for a bit that made me run out of time (and then realized that the question was much simpler than I had made it out to be right after the test). It seemed a bit harder than practice tests so we’ll see.

There were more tricky questions on the math then I’m accustomed to seeing, though I agree that a -1=36 will be very unlikely.

I would say math and science would probably have a generous curve. Reading will probably have a medium curve. English will have a very slight curve. Some may disagree about the generous curve for math, but once you got to the middle section of the math, stuff started to get real. O.o

Talked to a couple people today, and they agreed that the science section was pretty mediocre.

What is the essential/nonessential clause you are talking about in the English section and the pyramid question in the Math?

@SkeezeyJ

Unfortunately, I don’t remember the English question from last week; however, the pyramid one regarded the sum of the side lengths of a square pyramid given its slant height. Most people probably wouldn’t have intuitively seen the 30-60-90 right triangle (faces were equilateral, so the perpendicular bisector or slant height made one angle 30 and the “base angle” 90), so the question was markedly difficult.

i got the four on the bottom to equal 24

You got the answer right, then. The top four summed to 24 as well, which is what I was partially referencing when I said the triangular faces were equilateral.

Well it may just be me but I thought the math was hard and only two problems on the science were hard (Ex. the one where it asked you to make an equation)… I def guessed on almost the last three columns of the math… I haven’t taken Algebra 2 or Advanced Math yet so I guess that could be part of it but several people who took it with me and have taken Advanced Math and such said they guess too… Also, the English and Reading were REALLY easy

When do you think scores will start to come out? Mid May…?

April 30th

If you did MC only and requested your score report through the mail, you could get your report a few days early (i.e., tomorrow or Friday). If you took writing or didn’t request a mailed copy, you’ll probably have to wait until Monday or Wednesday.

Regardless of writing or not the majority of scores will be posted on April 30th online… the writing comes in a couple weeks later normally

so if i did with writing, ill still be able to see my English, MAth, reading and science scores mondayish

Yes^ Sunday night/Monday morning at 12 are when scores are available online.

You’ll probably see everything on Monday, man. I’ve never had the two scores not posted together…

Your nust have been lucky lol… last time I didn’t get my writing scores till a couple weeks later

What time on the 30th do they come out? Also, does writing impact the composite score? I’ve been getting different answers.
