That sucks! My stats dont qualify for most of the automatic scholarships. Even worse is I have no chance of raising my 2.9 GPA :(

It’s alright…I think your ACT will carry you! We’re opposites! While my ACT is Low, I have a good GPA (3.8 or. 3.9) :P

Lol I know right, but don’t they want BOTH the minimum GPA AND ACT/SAT?

So for instance, lets say College A offers auto scholarships for incoming freshmen with at least 3.0 GPA and 25 ACT. I imagine I wouldn’t qualify because of my GPA. Is that correct?

I don’t even know lol! Just never mind.

When a college states a minimum GPA of 3.0 AND a minimum ACT of 25, they want both. If a scholarship is competitive, it is likely that those awarded the scholarship will have grades and scores above this minimum. With automatic merit aid, the qualifications stated should be sufficient, but can be time limited until funds are used up- so it is best to apply early.
There is a lot of information on this site, but I realize it might be helpful to have the basics in one place. I have no financial or other connection to this book, but I recommend it. The chapter on financial aid is thorough.

God-daayyuum… Math.
Trying so hard to get a 34 for this June 8th date.
Fingas crossed!

I want a 34 too. Just have to bring science up to a reasonable score and I’ll be good.

I have no idea how im getting this 33 in September

We got the packet today with actual answers vs. correct answers, but still have not received the mailed score report. We know the score, because we can see it online, of course, but has anyone else NOT received their mailed score?
We do know of at least one other piece of mail that is missing, so we are worried about the integrity of our mail delivery!

Maryjay60, my son received the questions and answers packet. I was disappointed that the essay did not come with it. Did you get the essay portion? Like you, he has not received the mailed score report.

No prep (other than required by school PLAN and EXPLORE tests)

35 composite

36 English
34 reading
34 math
35 Science

No, we didn’t get the actual writing back, either. Only got the prompt for the writing and the very basic score from each of the two graders on the writing portion.
At least others haven’t received the mailed score yet! I can assume our mail is not generally being misdirected!

How long are the reading passages? I have taken some practice tests that are 100 lines, and others that are barely 80.

I have never taken the ACT so I was wondering about how long they are. It’d be nice if you could give me a general range.
