To all: the ACT certainly can be improved if you aren’t happy with your score. Constant practice up until the test date has improved my score from a 21 on the PLAN to a 34 my first time. I never would have expected the score I got until I started to work with an ACT tutor (and one that I picked on my own terms). I suggest that you get a tutor if you don’t already have one for the next time around.
Also make sure you order the test information release (TIR) as it is invaluable.
@mithuun15 I believe so. I remember being worried about the status for a while so I just went to bed. It obviously says tested when I check it now but I vaguely remember it changing as the score came up.
@bobertoper1 ok thanks i just really want to see my score cuz if i get a bad score i will be more motivated now rather than later. i tried studying for the june one over the weekend but all i could think about was if i got a 30 on this one or not
@apactstudent I agree 100%. The ACT is a benchmark for colleges to compare one student to another (or one school to another). In some cases, one point can be the deciding factor in your acceptance. That being said, the ACT is a test that you can study for and take multiple times. Likewise, it is not the only deciding factor for your college application (it’s just an important part).
i need my new scoresby April 30 cuz im applying for a summer program that looks at standardized tests and the deadline is April 30. Does anyone know if theres anyway to get them before then if i dont get them at midnight
Our final chapter test is this Friday in APUSH. I really don’t care what I get on the exam at this point. Nobody knows what the curve is going to be like. On the old exam, the curve was extremely generous, and most got 5s. I really just want a 5 on chemistry
@apactstudent SAME! I want a 5 so badly on chemistry. I’m pretty sure I’m going to do quite terribly on APUSH so might as well focus on something I’m decent at!
